The Tower Block

The high-rise apartments in which the upper-class city-dwellers reside. It has to be high-rises because every individual floor is entirely taken up by a penthouse suite. The further up in floors, the further away one gets from the noise of the city--accordingly, the higher up one lives is a fair indication of just how disgustingly wealthy they are.

The Apartment Block

Your standard apartment complex; not too fancy, but neither is it altogether bad. Unlike the Tower Block, none of the condos here are penthouses.

The Kommunalki

Because some bright spark decided that Soviet-era living was too good to let go. The kommunalki are communal-living apartments, where multiple people share the same kitchen, hallway, and bathroom. Obviously, if you live here, you can't afford anything better.

The Theatre District

The city's main center for entertainment. Includes theatres (obviously), opera houses, cinemas, museums, shopping malls, etc etc.

The Slums

Not technically a residential area, despite the name, though it is home to many homeless people. Basically a small stretch of abandoned buildings and cardboard cities, with more than one shady alleyway. This is a hotspot for crime and not a place one wants to be in the darker hours of the day.

The Business Corridor

The center of town, out of which rises the intimidating silhouette of Corporate Headquarters against the sky, and nearly past the clouds. And while it is the figure quite literally dominating the landscape, one mustn't forget that it isn't the sole business being conducted in the city. Here one can also find banks, law firms, medical centers, markets, and other assorted establishments.

The Suburbs

A variety of housing, from mansions to trailers, on the outskirts of the city. Can be reached via car, bus, taxi, or train/metro.
